Tower Records Shibuya

I came to Tower Records Shibuya store and it was so amazing to see IVE displayed so big.

Tower Records Shibuya store is from B1F to 9F and each floor has a different theme, so it's fun to look around.

There are a lot of CDs and LPs, and my husband and I, who love LPs, had fun looking around the LP section as if we were treasure hunting.

2nd floor is a cafe.

5th floor is K-Pop.

6th floor is Rock, Pop, Hiphop, etc.

7th floor was Jazz, World Music, Classical.

On the 5th floor K-pop, there were autographs of k-pop artists who visited Tower Records, so it was fun to look around,

and it was amazing to see that many Japanese people also visited.

As soon as I arrived on the 7th floor, a great song was playing through a speaker with great sound.

My husband couldn't hold back his curiosity and asked the staff, and it was this song.

My husband and I also love the City Pop genre,

but I didn't know this person was the godfather of City Pop...!

Since then, I've been addicted to it and I keep listening to it haha.

It was a thrilling feeling to discover a new world through traveling!

You might find good music of a new genre on the 7th floor,

so I recommend you go there once :)

Next, we walked past the Scramble Crossing to eat pancakes,

but it was a really hot day, there were so many people and it was tiring haha.

But the weather was so bright and sunny that the pictures came out well and it was pretty.

Shiawase no Pancake (Happy Pancake)

There were many Japanese locals, but also many foreigners.

It was a place with good reviews on Google Maps, but does a high rating on Google Maps mean that it's more of a tourist spot for foreigners than a local restaurant...?

Anyway, there were about 3 teams in front of us and we waited about 20-30 minutes. (Saturday around 2 pm)

And when we left after we had finished eating, it was about 3:30 pm and there were about 7 teams waiting.

I wonder if this is a characteristic of the Japanese restaurant system, but even if a table becomes available, they make you wait a bit and then call everyone at once, and then wait for a few more teams to leave and then call everyone at once.

As a Korean, I think they should call the next team immediately when a team leaves for fast turnover+profit haha, it was a slightly different system and it was interesting.

It was written that the pancakes take about 20 minutes to make, and that's how long it took.

Grapefruit juice and orange juice and roll cake that came out faster than the pancakes.

The juices weren't cheap and sweet, they were a sophisticated taste that was just right, and my throat was dry, so it quenched my thirst and gave me some energy, so it was a good order haha.

The roll cake came with Manuka honey, and when I ate it with the honey, it was very sweet, fragrant and soft and delicious.

The pancakes finally came out after 20 minutes!

The visuals are so pretty haha. I can't stop looking at them haha.

The taste is, I don't know if it was because we were full or because we were tired,

but we didn't feel that it was super delicious, but it was a basic delicious pancake taste.

It's delicious with honey and unsweetened ice cream, but if you just eat the pancake, it's a bit of a soft, bland taste.

So, personally, I don't think it's worth waiting 20-30 minutes for.

If you want to go, you can make a reservation on the website in advance so you don't have to wait! haha.

All this (2 juices + roll cake + pancakes) cost 2,620 yen.

(Oh, by the way, in previous reviews, there were comments about being rude, but all the staff were friendly when we went)

Daikanyama

Daikanyama, which is like Cheongdam-dong in Tokyo, comes out after about 20-30 minutes from Shiawase no Pancake.

Just a little away from the bustling Shibuya, there is this quiet neighborhood,

and I healed while walking down the alleyways where flowers bloomed here and there.

My husband healed while walking through the quiet and beautifully landscaped alleyway haha.

And then I arrived at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore.

Actually, it was Saturday, and there were so many people that I didn't even think about looking inside the bookstore....

So I looked around and sat in a wooded area for a while watching people haha.

There's a place where you can sit right in front of this grocery store so you can take a break! It's green and quiet so I highly recommend it! haha.

And then we looked around the shops in the Daikanyama area and moved on to the next area.

If you have time and energy, there are many shops selling unique and pretty clothes and accessories in Japan, so you should take your time and browse each store.

I found 'Number Sugar', famous for its handmade caramels, while browsing,

but it was closed because it was late.

There was a vending machine in front of it, and I was curious about the taste so I tried one.

You can get a box of 5 for 500 yen.

It was a soft and non-sticky, slightly sophisticated taste,

and personally, I liked the salted caramel, and each number had its own unique flavor so it was delicious.

(But the price is too outrageous, so it's not a good gift haha. I'm satisfied with the experience! haha.)
