Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) startup Plusdot, selected for the 2023 Early Startup Package, announced on April 24 that it has been selected as a 2024 resident company at the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, operated by the Information and Communications Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

The Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center is a facility established to support domestic ICT companies in their entry into the Southeast Asian market, including Vietnam, and their business operations. It is located on Le Duan Street, the financial and administrative center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

From April 11 to April 11, NIPA recruited 2024 resident companies at the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, targeting promising domestic ICT companies that are expanding into Southeast Asia, with Vietnam as their base. The recruitment size is two companies. NIPA provides support to resident companies, including △ office space and meeting rooms, △ local legal, accounting, and labor consulting, △ marketing strategy development, △ linkage with distribution channel partner companies for investment attraction, △ participation in local events such as exhibitions and investment consultations.

Plusdot operates 'Eventplus,' a platform that connects event organizers and related companies for events, MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions). Through this, it helps organizers conduct more efficient and effective events quickly. Plusdot has been growing rapidly since its founding in 2020, recording a sales growth rate of over 150% annually.

Plusdot's motivation to apply to the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center stems from SeoulTech's 'Global Market Entry Development Team (Vietnam)' program. The Global Market Entry Development Team is a program designed to support the global expansion of promising early-stage startups hoping to enter overseas markets.

Participating companies in the Global Market Entry Development Team visited Vietnam in March to conduct △ market research for local company visits and market development, △ mentoring to enhance market entry potential, △ global demo day, and △ networking through matching with local buyers.

Plusdot, through the Global Market Entry Development Team, directly confirmed the feasibility of business in Vietnam and decided to apply to the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center to realize its global expansion. With the residency at the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, Plusdot plans to secure necessary infrastructure and networks locally, develop Vietnam-specific event management solutions, and implement service localization, including local recruitment.
