When you work in a company, you may have short-term part-time workers or interns who

are assigned to the department for a short time and leave.

Usually they just come in, make copies and use the internet, saying

they are “salary lupang”, and sometimes there are those who work hard.

When I see such friends, I sometimes feel old-fashioned and

want to help them in some way.

With the intention of giving them some useful advice, I

call them in at the end of their part-time job to have a

meal together.

(If I don’t like them, I don’t even eat with them.)

I listen to their concerns about finding a job and give them

advice if they are interested in our industry.

I tell them stories that can help them get started.

In addition, there are some common things I tell them,

If you join a company in the future, you will see many paths within

that company. Find the best place

(where you can get the most reward for your effort)

and move there so that

you can see your efforts. My advice is to make sure you put in the effort until you are 33.

Of course, you can always start something new after that age, but

the best time is probably before age 33.

Until age 32, you are 'young and inexperienced', but from age 33 you are 'young but not inexperienced'.

If there is something you want to do, it is likely that other people

want to do it too.

The reason for choosing you for that place is your potential and attitude.

That's why I treat them to a meal, and

your physical age is a big factor in your potential.

You might say, "Why are you talking about age in the age of 100?",

but the increase in life expectancy is mostly due to advances in life-sustaining technology,

and there has not been much progress in technology that increases the length of our young and inexperienced years.

Let’s talk about Confucius suddenly.

Confucius said that 30 is the age of “establishing oneself”.

[Establishing Oneself (而立): Refers to the age of 'thirty' in Confucianism, when one establishes their own foundation.]

Confucius’s ‘age of establishing one’s foundation’ is

best interpreted as the age of choosing a career.

Thousands of years ago, in the days of Confucius, as it is now, 30 is

the age when one must decide on their career.

I recommend that you take your 'young' weapon and

move to a department or company with better conditions.

If you put in the same amount of effort, your reward will be different depending on the department or company you are in.
