The main character of the drama "ChaebolXDetective (FlexxCop)", 'Jin Yi-su', is exactly that kind of character. As the youngest son of a chaebol family, he has no interest in running the company and is only interested in playing. One day, Jin Yi-su gets caught up in an incident. He ends up catching the criminal that the police were pursuing. To handle this incident, the chaebol family makes Jin Yi-su a police officer. One day, the third-generation chaebol became a police officer.

'Lee Kang-hyun', the team leader of the Violent Crimes Unit 1, who dislikes this Jin Yi-su, is a person who is more than satisfied with his life as a police officer. Lee Kang-hyun, who dreamed of becoming a police officer after seeing his father who was a police officer, graduated from the police university and was promoted to police inspector with an amazing arrest rate. While working with the goal of clearing his father's name who had to leave the police force dishonorably after being falsely accused, an unbelievable event occurs, a third-generation chaebol joins his team. Lee Kang-hyun hates Jin Yi-su, but his heart is complicated because Jin Yi-su, surprisingly, solves cases well.

Usually, when a police character appears in a drama, they are often shown as being miserable because they are too busy with work to have a good relationship with their family, or they are being nagged by their husband or wife because they don't earn enough money. It's reality that they don't get paid enough for what they do. That's why a police character who is tempted by bribes and becomes corrupt often appears. Also, scenes where they can't properly investigate due to the power of prosecutors or wealthy chaebols are also a common theme in police dramas.

But in this drama, "ChaebolXDetective (FlexxCop)", a third-generation chaebol becomes a police officer and conducts an investigation. There is a vague expectation that a chaebol who has both money and power, if they become a police officer, will be able to investigate freely without any restrictions. I wonder if those expectations will be well reflected in the drama.

Actually, there was a drama where a rich police officer was the main character. It was a drama called "The Good Detective" that aired in 2020. In this drama, the main character was poor but became rich after inheriting his uncle's fortune. While the main character of "The Good Detective" originally dreamed of becoming a police officer and was a person who clearly had a sense of mission and goals as a police officer, 'Jin Yi-su' of "ChaebolXDetective (FlexxCop)" didn't even think about becoming a police officer and naturally had no sense of mission as a police officer. Although the two dramas have some similar settings, I think there are many more differences than common points.
