Yeongdeungpo-gu Office (Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) and Yeongdeungpo Cultural Foundation (CEO Lee Gun-wang) will hold the Art & Technology City Award 'STATION Y - 2401240204' from January 24 to February 4 at STATION Y in Munrae-dong, featuring experimental works that combine art and technology.

The Art & Technology City Award is a comprehensive exhibition that showcases the results of the cultural city Yeongdeungpo's 2023 art and technology convergence projects, including creative works, creative activities, creative performances, and living fair products. A total of 34 artists participated in this exhibition. The exhibition title 'STATION Y - 2401240204' is the coordinates designated by the artists for their new works in a disused factory built in the 1950s. This event is composed of three projects.

The first section is an opportunity for artists who were selected through 'ARTECH WAVE', which was promoted as part of the cultural city project since last October, to share the results of their research conducted over several months. Artist Robot Lab, Eom A-long, Yoon Jang-ho, and Han Jae-seok presented a project that expands the senses to the universe, drawing inspiration from Munrae-dong, where they can create anything except living things.

In the second section, creative works of 22 teams that have expressed the fusion of art and technology in various ways using Arduino and Unity can be viewed in the 'ARTECH INFRA' digital repository.

Finally, Yeongdeungpo Living Fair 'YDP EDITION' introduces works created based on Yeongdeungpo to be used in everyday life. You can see high-end objects from artists Ando-hyun and Choi Jong-pil, and about 10 types of goods selected through the contest are sold. In addition, Kim Dong-han's performance, which reinterprets the theme of the exhibition as a sound visualization work, and Han Jae-seok's special performance will offer a rich experience.

Yeongdeungpo, a concentration of various manufacturing technologies including precision metal processing, has been loved by artists for a long time due to its attractive work environment, leading to interesting projects that combine art and technology. As the title suggests, the 'STATION Y - 2401240204' event aims to showcase the potential and possibilities of these resources in Yeongdeungpo to create another direction starting with the beginning of 2024. Through this, visitors will have a chance to awaken their hidden senses.
